  • O Vincent - Read if only for the Foreword and Introduction

    An outstanding Foreword by Heidi Pitlor where she writes about the new norm of writing that is void of momentum and uninterested in the reader, and the introduction by Geraldine Brooks is even more fascinating and fun, every aspiring writer should read her "carps of the day." Some of the stories left me blank but then the writing was always excellent. I'll read anything Adichie writes and Ceiling didn't disappoint. Egan is a magician with words and mood, and La Vita Nuova was just so beautiful in its biting sparseness. Gurov in Manhattan was welcome sort of shout out to Chekhov, Foster--a must read, and of course Joyce Carol Oates never disappoints. But one of the more excellent stories was Escape from Spiderhead, a rarity of speculative fiction and a page turner that delves deep into the heart and the what it means to be human.

    Bought it for daughter who's an upcoming artist, it's fun and can be used for alot of other things. Keeping it clean is the hardest part, everything arrived in good shape.

    Refreshing scent but left my son's skin a little dry. Same with scalp, works very well to clean hair but is somewhat drying. Would recommend using a lotion or baby oil after this product. Otherwise it is very gentle on the skin and has a mild yet sweet smell.

    Its my husbands favorite book to read to our little one. Im not sure who likes it better, baby or dad. Great little book! Baby follows the pictures and reacts to the cadence of the story.

    Best lotion on the planet (for me). I've been using this stuff for about 15 years (started when I was in my 40s) - I apply it to my face and neck, morning and night, and am starting to on my forearms during these dry MN winters. I have no wrinkles yet, and minimal crows feet. Many people think I'm still in my 40s. I also started applying to my ears, but I used Nerium on the left ear and Avalon Organics on the right ear for about 8 months. The sun damage on my right ear has been more attenuated than on the left ear. Keep in mind that Nerium goes for $80/ounce. Both products are essentially comprised of antioxidants, but Avalon uses a lot of vitamin C, which is probably the most proven antioxidant out there.
