I've been using PCMatic for nearly three years now, and for the most part, saw a few, minimal benefits such as eliminating junk files, craplets, registry fixes, and anti-viral scans. An ongoing problem that PC Pitstop won't acknowledge is the time it takes to download the signature file--the anti-virus database. When it starts to load, the dialog box says it will take a long time to load the first time, but after that it will be quick. Even though I've complained, it ALWAYS takes a long time to download. I am on HughesNet and if I run PCMatic in the evening--when millions of other users are contending for bandwidth--it can take upwards of an hour to download the signature file. I was willing to put up with this, but now some tech-weenie has decided to help out by updating applications that I don't use and would like to get rid of, such as Quick Time and Adobe Air. Worse, the last time I ran it (4/24/13) PCMatic disabled my PrintScrn key, so I couldn't do a screen capture into Photoshop. The online forums were of absolutely no help, since they all seem to concentrate on laptops. Luckily, I was able to do a System Restore and regain the PrintScrn key functionality. (Nothing, of course, will regain the three hours I took to figure out the problem--I didn't make the association with PCMatic at first, but then a light bulb went on.) Another annoying feature, but not a showstopper is that when the list of options comes up, it overlays what appears to be another web page, making the options almost unreadable. I am sending a copy of this Amazon review to PCPitstop in hopes of getting their attention this time, but in the meantime, I will not run it again until they fix it. The downside outweighs the benefits. [Spybot seems to work pretty well, but I'm like the guy who wrote about the magic rocks and the tigers--I haven't had a virus (I think) in years, but maybe I'm either lucky or don't know my machine is sick. Ha!!] As far as making my machine run faster--the main reason I signed up in the first place--I've never seen any improvement. Could it be that a slow machine is just a slow machine?
I've been purchasing this product for 10 years. The only thing I use it for is to do my Family DVD at the end of the year. If it would work it would be great. It NEVER works as advertised. Every year I upgrade thinking that it will work--IT NEVER DOES. I just spent 100 hours making 1 change at a time (that would be saving and restarting the program before it crashes ever 3 minutes). Do you know how many times I had to restart it while creating a family video DVD? Over 400 times!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Guess what--just as I was putting the final touches on it, it crashed so bad that now I can't open the file I created. After screaming for awhile, I decided post this review. Like it? Don't tell me about Roxio support. Roxio doesn't even make it easy to contact a real person. There is no phone number. I worked with someone by email--she wasn't helpful. I read all of the Roxio "fixes." They don't work. I have a brand new computer with Windows 7 and 8 GB of RAM. It is a clean install about a week old and Roxio NXT DVD Creator doesn't work on it. How about paying me $1,000? That's about 1 dollar an hour that I put into that stupid program called Creator NXT. How can Roxio let a product like this go out year after year. I'm an IT Professor and I have never experienced such an distasterous program like this. Do I sound frustrated? My voice hurts from screaming after I lost all my work for the last 2 weeks doing what should take about 6 hours. Roxio Creator NXT sucks! Who are their competitors? I need a program that works to make my family video for 2012. Am I angry? Hell yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just waisted another $80 bucks on this crappy product! I'd love to go to Roxio for a month so I could lead a project team to find out who or what the problem is there. Roxio puts alot of useless garbage out on their support website. They need a real help desk with real people you can talk to? Oh yea, you have to pay for "premium support" to get that. Guess what? I through with Roxio. Just because Roxio puts alot of garbage out on their site doesn't make their Customer Support Service very good. How about fixing the program? Ever heard of Total Quality Mangement? ISO 9000? They should look it up. I'm done venting. I'm done with Roxio.
This is a great pillow that is very useful for infants! It is somewhat small, but you want to use it when the baby is born anyway, since that is when the shape of the head takes place, so I think it works perfect for that. Here is some information from the seller:
So far they work great & the price was amazing! They may not last forever but the Chargers that I buy directly from Apple, don't last long enuf to make up for the high price I've paid. The only Con is that they are short.
