I have wide feet so my cycling shoe choices are somewhat limited. I did a couple thousand miles on these since I bought them and I was always comfortable and felt the power transfer was decent. I had been using Sidi Megas, which felt even better and had a stiffer carbon sole, but those cost more than twice what these did. Overall I'm satisfied, I think they are a good value and more than adequate for a weekend road warrior like myself. I raced when I was younger but that was decades ago, now it's just for pleasure but I do a lot of 3-4 hour rides in these and have always been comfortable.
This is a basic rendition of the classic Aesop fables. The illustrations are very basic - just a simple small graphic at the start of the fable. Not every fable gets its own illustration. This was a bit of a letdown, as I was expecting big colorful illustrations. The fables themselves are very succinct and short, even for the more famous ones like the hare and tortoise. I do like the sheer number of fables in the collection, as there were a lot that I've never heard before. I would give it three stars, but the sizable collection of fables pushes it closer to 3.5 stars. Since half stars aren't possible, I rounded it up to 4 stars.
4-stars. A very positive experience overall. While I agree with another reviewer that importing last year's 2013 turbo tax data failed miserably, getting the same error messages that he did, I did not have a similar experience with saving data that I input manually. Fortunately I didn't waste much time trying to get the importing to work. Like so many others, I switched from Turbo Tax because of their policy to reduce the functionality of the program that had worked well for me the prior year, attempting to force a substantial increase in price. Fortunately, I found that TaxAct provided a very complete program with nearly every form even some of the most sophisticated filers would need in preparing their returns. The program required only a modest learning curve and was fairly straight-forward in appearance and appears to be generating a very accurate return. In addition, I liked the fact that I was able to order the cd version of the program (having it mailed to me) and still download the program online to multiple computers without restriction. As a former tax preparer and consultant, I would recommend it for those looking for a reasonably priced solution to their tax preparation needs.
The only reason this book is not getting two stars is that the online component was helpful in preparing for the GRE. I needed this book for the math; however, it's not a strong math review. The practice sets in the book were much easier than what I encountered on test day. There was not nearly enough geometry review - woefully inadequate. I suppose the same could be said for algebra, but I had just done an Algebra CLEP review and didn't need this book for algebra. So if you need a cursory verbal review and an in-depth math review, this is not the prep book for you.
Loved the concept to reduce the products I'm using and save time on busy mornings. Unfortunately I have sensitive skin - terrible acne as a teen but as I've gotten older (now 30) I don't have breakout issues. Two days using this lotion with no other changes to my skincare routine and I had cyst-like pimples along my hairline and small whiteheads all over my cheeks. Pass.
Marco, Addy and what remains of their unit are drafted to attack the alien home world of Abaddon. Not quite the gruesome tale of the second book, and hence more enjoyable from my standpoint. High point of the story reveals the motive behind the total war doctrine of Earth's first great hero and why the entire Space Territorial Force attacks Abaddon which was a surprising twist at the end.
